A new way to communicate
On May 28th, Emily Reeves from Stone Ward (a marketing firm here in Little Rock) came to speak to the Central Arkansas Real Estate Investors Association about using social media to interact with the world. I consider myself to be an early adopter to things in the tech world, including social media. I’ve had a personal blog since 2001 before I knew they were called “blogs”, but it hasn’t been updated in a couple of years. It was originally intended to update family about our lives, but we are now in the same city as most of our family. It’s not a coincidence that the last post coincided with our moving to Little Rock.
Three and a half years ago, I started another blog about my media/programming/coding company and kept that up for a little while. But since that time, I’ve spent less and less of my time working in the web world and more and more in the real estate world. So that blog hasn’t been updated in years, either.
I’m on Twitter (@hydromint), Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, last.fm and all sorts of other social networks, but haven’t considered creating a blog for my real estate pursuits in quite awhile. That has changed today.
Welcome to HydroMint Properties – the blog! In these virtual pages, you will hopfully find a plethora of informative posts. Topics planned include a range from personal thoughts on real estate, the market, negotiating, new/old deals and anything else I think may be worthy of more than 140 characters on Twitter.
So welcome and enjoy. Let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to read.
